Sustainable flowers are first and foremost a local agricultural product that is grown and cared for without the use of harmful chemicals. Here at Echo Hill Farms, we prioritize the connection between all living things and practice a Do No Harm approach with Nature when it comes to our cultivation, growing, harvesting and packaging.
You bet! We work really hard to grow amazing specialty cut flowers up here in northern Alberta. We grow over 80 flower varieties and each one takes careful planning and care along with a lot of trial and error. Every season brings new varieties for field trial, seasonal favourites, and always reliable workhorses. From Anemones to Zinnias, we have you covered.

These three simple tricks will help your flowers live their best lives in the vase:
1) As soon as you get them home, give your stems a 1/2" trim and place into a clean vessel with cool water. Do this every 2 or 3 days to keep your flowers hydrated and happy.
2) Keep out of direct sunlight. Really, they're your flowers so do whatever you want, but keeping them on your kitchen island or bedside table and not on a windowsill will ensure they last longer in your home.
3) Ripening fruit and flowers don't mix. As fruit ripens, especially apples and bananas, they release ethylene gas which will in turn speed the decay of other organic material nearby. Keep your flowers a healthy distance from your bowls of fruit and all will be well.

Easy peasy!
We are not a certified organic farm. While we do practice a chemical free approach to farming, we prefer to forego the label and actively encourage our customers and community to ask questions and we believe transparency in agriculture goes beyond a stamp.
When you purchase your subscription period, you are asked to indicate the location that is most convenient to you to pick up. Clients are responsible for picking up at that location. If you cannot meet your pickup responsibility, ask a friend or family member to do so...easy as that! If all else fails, email us directly and we will make our best effort to accommodate the location change.
When you purchase a flower subscription you are pre-ordering a in-season bouquet once a week for a four week period. We have three subscription periods - Spring, Summer and Fall.  Subscriptions are appropriate for Grande Prairie and area residents as when you place your order you are asked to choose a location that is most convenient for you to pick up. Subscription holder orders are filled first and you are guaranteed a fresh bouquet on your pick up day.
Email Us Directly!  We will respond within 24 hours and are dedicated to providing exceptional customer care.
